Master Planning of Resources

Course Overview:
Explore the processes used to develop sales and operations plans and identify and assess internal and external demand and forecasting requirements. The course focuses on the importance of producing achievable master schedules that are consistent with business policies, objectives, and resource constraints.

Master Planning of Resources is the second of five modules in the APICS CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) program. Although it is preferable to take the courses in order, it is not necessary.
 

Instructor: William L. Cure, CFPIM, CIRM, PMP, CSCP, CSM

Bill has extensive consulting, SCM, and PM experience and training in multiple types of industries to include manufacturing, distribution, and insurance industrial sectors.  He has managed numerous software modification projects requiring the usage of BPI/BPM tools and techniques and proactively utilizing an Agile PM software development methodology. In addition he has held positions in ERP Marketing/consulting ranging from pre sales Mfg consultant to Director or Manufacturing Marketing for the Southern US. Career Accomplishments include: actively managed over 15 successful ERP/MRPII implementations from 6 different vendors; trained by W. Edwards Deming (TQM) and Shigeo Shingo (SMED) and Ken Wantuck; holds PMP certification from PMI, and CFPIM, CIRM and CSCP certification from APICS; currently working on qualifying to take the PMP-RMP (Risk Management) and 6 Sigma Master Black Belt certifications; have taught APICS CPIM classes since 1980 and CSCP classes since 2006;  Associate APICS instructor, CPIM, CSCP, TTT; held IT/ERP/BI management positions ranging for ERP Manager to Global Applications Director for a $1.7B USD company.
